If you have a thing for beer, you’ll have a thing for OKC. There are a ton of microbreweries in the city. When the recession hit America recently, Forbes said that Oklahoma City was essentially prone to the recession. It’s safe to say that your money is safe here. Since there are so many people relocating to Oklahoma City, its no surprise that there are major things happening in the Downtown district. It would be your best bet to steer clear of the downtown area when there is any sort of sports game happening, because traffic can be a nightmare.

For some fun with the bigger kids, visit Frontier City in downtown. This amusement park is wild west themed and offers food, games, and roller coasters. There is also a lot of shopping to be done in Oklahoma City. You can find some great, trendy stores pretty much anywhere you go in the city. Every Oklahoma City resident has been to the National Memorial at least once. This memorial commemorates the people who died in the Oklahoma City Bombing of 1995. For something a little more fun, stop by the Paseo arts district. With over 5 dozen artists and nearly 20 art galleries, this is the perfect place to unwind after a long week.
